About these terms

These terms apply to surveys, quotations and work carried out by Pro-Detect, 1 Ifton Avenue, Rogiet, NP26 3ST. You can reach us on 07855 096623 or at llewyssaunders@gmail.com.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Surveys and quotations

Surveys are free and carried out at the property. We issue a written, itemised quotation within 7 days of the survey.

A quotation is based on what was visible and testable at the time of the survey. Where work uncovers something that could not reasonably be seen beforehand (concealed wiring faults, unsuitable roof structure, asbestos, or non-compliant existing installations), we will stop, explain the position and agree any change in writing with you before continuing.

Nothing is charged and no work begins until you accept a quotation.

Carrying out the work

We agree dates with you in advance and will tell you as soon as possible if a date needs to move, for example where weather makes roof work unsafe.

You agree to give us safe access to the property and to the relevant supply, consumer unit and working areas on the agreed dates, and to tell us about anything known that affects the work.

Installations are tested and commissioned on completion, certification is issued where the work requires it, and we demonstrate the system before leaving.

Standards and sign-off

Solar and electrical installations are carried out to full NICEIC and MCS standards, and are signed off through our accredited partner contractor while our own accreditations are being completed.

Guarantees and warranties

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 5 years from completion.

Equipment carries the manufacturer's own warranty; CCTV equipment we supply is Hikvision and carries a 3-year product warranty. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer's terms and to the system being used and maintained as intended.

Guarantees do not cover damage caused by third-party alterations, misuse, accidental damage, or work carried out on the installation by anyone else.

Payment

Prices, stage payments and payment terms are set out in your written quotation and agreed before work starts. Where materials are ordered specifically for your job, any deposit stated in the quotation is payable before those items are ordered.

Cancellation

Where you enter into a contract with us at your home or away from our premises, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of accepting the quotation. If you ask us in writing to begin work within that period and then cancel, we may charge for work already carried out and materials already supplied.

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to move or cancel a booked appointment.

Liability and insurance

We hold £5,000,000 public liability, £10,000,000 employers' liability and £250,000 professional indemnity cover.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for business losses, and we do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Complaints and governing law

If something is not right, contact us and we will put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
